My customer tends to enjoy golfing, getting drinks after work, and grilling out on the weekends. They tend to drive trucks or SUVs, usually black. They usually watch the news, the walking dead, and criminal minds. They usually have a family. They enjoy non fiction books. They are usually republicans. They are 35-55 year old men who tend to feel their age. I don't have much in common other than I work a lot. I don't think having something in common with my avatar is a coincidence because the thing we have in common is the reason why my product is necessary for us.
Hi Sarah, you did a really good job of creating a very specific and recognizable segment. You did a good job of correctly describing you demographic of middle aged white men who you are catering your product to. I think most of your descriptions apply to a lot of people in your specific segment, with exception of course. I will look to make my customer segment as specific and descriptive as yours in the future.
ReplyDeleteHey Sarah,
ReplyDeleteI really liked how specific you got with your avatars. I think that having a specific knowledge of your client base like this is really important when thinking about marketing and better developing your product.
Hello Sarah,
ReplyDeleteGreat job addressing your customer avatar. I think you painted a very clear picture of how you are targeting based on the age, hobbies, lifestyle, and work life mentioned in your post. I find it interesting how even though people seem so different there are always commonalities that you can find. That's why marketing can be hard when one product is suited for multiple people, but you can decide to speak to the underlying factor (in this case, a busy work life), and in the end you can sell a product that benefits many people in their day to day lives.
